Eastern Palace Single Eyegore

a.k.a. Zeldagamer Room

The Red Eyegore's activation radius is a square that is essentially 6x6 tiles in size. The four Link sprites in the above image show the furthest points from the Eyegore at which it can be triggered. To be inside the rectangle, Link's horizontal coordinate must be within 1140 and 119F and his vertical coordinate must be within 1B30 and 1B67. Notably, walking a single pixel upward from being flush with the top edge of the pots will trigger the Eyegore.

Shoot Up (2.600)
Shoot Left (2.733)

Shooting the Eyegore from below will cause its knockback to be cut short by the north wall, allowing the second arrow to hit it sooner and thus causing the door to open earlier.

This room is generally done with a combination of arrows and (commonly, but not always) a pot throw. Several RNG patterns are possible for the Stalfos; a few are shown above.

In general the default strategy is to shoot the lower Stalfos with an arrow and throw the pot at the upper Stalfos, but the upper Stalfos can be better handled with a second arrow for certain patterns. The lower Stalfos tends to stop moving and turn after one or two tiles, but can also walk all the way to the right-hand wall.

Fire/ice rod shots will instantly kill the Stalfos and are quicker to fire / quicker to travel than arrows, resulting in a faster room time if you can confidently quickswap to the bow fast enough. Each rod shot potentially costs 16 frames in cutscene refill time (8 with half magic), so whether this saves time overall will depend on your resources, individual execution, and what Stalfos RNG pattern you get.

With the mirror in your inventory, special care must be taken when quickswapping to the bow to avoid accidentally warping back to the beginning of the dungeon!

With Master Sword or higher, holding diagonally up-left out of the door will allow you to consistently kill the upper Stalfos with a slash, saving time in the room overall. This works even if you have full health, as the sword beams should not interfere with the slash kill.

A spin slash is the standard way to kill the 6 Popos in the next room, so generally you'll want to have your sword held out going into the door transition. When doing so, holding your sword out to the right or left is recommended as it will avoid the situation shown in this video, where facing upward results in "tinking" the door as you go through it, which resets your sword spin charge progress.
