The hookshot can be used to reach the chest directly from the left ledge, bypassing the need to travel through the pot switch room. Out of the doorway, only one frame of diagonal movement is needed for the hookshot to hit the chest.

Walking to the chest is faster than using the hookshot or dashing downward.
