When going to the map room directly, a common mistake is to walk downwards when entering the room instead of taking the double dash path.

Coming back from the map room, you can dash all the way through the doorway from the middle path.

Dashing out of the doorway on the lower level is slower than simply walking and then dashing.

An optimal dash after the stairs in the south end of the room can save 3 frames.
