An optimal dash is 7 frames faster than hookshotting to the chest and is recommended as there is no risk of bonking due to the chest being offset from the doorway.
When exiting to the right, an optimal dash is only 2 frames faster than walking to the doorway and is generally not recommended. (Note that a long dash through the doorway is not feasible as it is impossible to walk upward to line up with the doorway until reaching the right side of the room)
