The pits in this room appear immediately once the chest in the upper-left is opened (regardless of the order in which you open them). This combined with the layout of the pots and beetles usually favors opening the four chests in clockwise order starting from the upper-right.

Hookshotting to the pot (ideally after walking up+left and being flush with the block) saves a few frames over walking.

The fastest way to deal with the blue hardhat beetle while opening the chests is to stun it quickly with the hookshot along the way.

Although slower, the lower pot can also be picked up and used to dispatch the beetle.

Alternatively, the beetle can be avoided entirely as in this strategy, though keep in mind that the beetle's exact movement may not be consistent.
