Eastern Palace Dark Pots

a.k.a. Dark Pot Key

A typical strategy is to diagonal up-right out of the door until lined up with the bottom part of the key pot. You may have to react to the movement of the Stalfos enemies, potentially also throwing the pot at one of them to clear the way.

With the boots and a sword, you'll want to diagonal up-right out of the door and dash across the room, lifting the pot from the bottom. Note that you'll want to cut your dash short before reaching the right-hand wall, to prevent being hit by the middle Stalfos on certain RNG patterns.

By hookshotting to the very bottom edge of the key pot it is possible to always reach the pot without hitting the middle Stalfos.

A safer (but slower) approach is to use the hookshot only on the way back, hopefully after confirming that no Stalfos enemies will be in the way.

Hookshotting to the middle pot can save 2 frames over walking, but only if done to the upper edge of the pot.

A common strategy for doing this room in the dark is to simply hold right and lift the two middle pots (without the boots, you can simply spam the A button), then lift the key pot once you are certain that you have reached the right-hand wall.

Holding your sword out can help make it easier to navigate back to the doorway in the dark, and having your sword out can be useful in the next room, but this does slow your movement, so try to minimize the amount of time you have your sword held out.
